Terms of Service
Last updated: April 23, 2026
1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using Recruitd ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What Recruitd does
Recruitd is a software tool that helps you apply to jobs. On your behalf and at your direction, it may: parse your resume, identify matching job postings, fill out application forms on third-party websites, and receive email verification codes sent to addresses we provision for you. You review and submit each application; Recruitd does not finalize submissions without your explicit action, except where you have opted into automated submission.
3. Your account
You must provide accurate information when creating your account and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use Recruitd.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of your resume, application answers, and other content you provide to Recruitd ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process Your Content solely to provide and improve the Service. You represent that Your Content is accurate and does not infringe any third-party rights.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Submit false or misleading information in applications through the Service.
- Use the Service to apply on behalf of anyone other than yourself.
- Circumvent rate limits, security controls, or access restrictions.
- Use the Service for anything other than genuine job-search activity.
- Violate the terms of service of any third-party ATS or employer site.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.
6. Third-party services
Recruitd interacts with third-party applicant tracking systems and company career pages. We are not affiliated with those services and are not responsible for their content, decisions, or availability. Hiring outcomes are determined by employers, not Recruitd.
7. Paid plans and billing
If you purchase a paid plan, you authorize us and our payment processor (Stripe) to charge the payment method on file. Fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice for existing subscribers. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
8. Service availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, third-party outages, and factors outside our control may cause downtime. We are not liable for missed applications, deadlines, or opportunities resulting from unavailability.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS, BE ERROR-FREE, OR RESULT IN ANY PARTICULAR HIRING OUTCOME.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RECRUITD'S AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $100. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.
11. Termination
You may delete your account at any time by contacting support. We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these terms or for extended inactivity. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately.
12. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
